James Schlender has played the fiddle from an early age. As a two-time National Fiddle Champion, James plays the 5-string fiddle in the Asheville-based bluegrass band Songs From the Road.  studied music performance at the University of Miami. He has shared the stage with Chick Corea, Bobby McFerrin, and George Benson.  In addition to being an impressive fiddler, he is also a master harmony singer.  You never know what James is going to play, but he’s for certain one of the top 10 bluegrass fiddle players in the world.
