Boxed Lunches

If you’d like to enjoy a picnic on our beautiful grounds, the best way is with a fresh, hand-made boxed lunch.

Boxed lunches include a sandwich and side of your choice, a homemade cookie, and a bottled water.

Boxed lunches are made at Cafe on the Veranda, inside A Day in the Country, a popular local gathering place for home cooked food and locally-made goods. A Day in the Country is located 2.5 miles from Burntshirt Vineyards.


  • Chicken salad: Our most popular sandwich! Fresh all white meat chicken hand tossed with mayo, dried cranberries and walnuts. Served on a multi-grain bread.
  • Turkey Supreme: Homemade multi-grain cranberry roll stacked high with smoked turkey, provolone cheese, lettuce and topped with a sweet cranberry chutney.
  • Roast Beef Bleu: Sliced roast beef on Pumpernickel bread with onions and a homemade blue cheese bacon spread.
  • Southern Ham: Succulent ham served on potato bread with Swiss cheese, champagne mustard, lettuce and tomato, and topped with a pickle.


  • Chips
  • Pasta Salad: Colorful pasta with carrots, black olives, cheddar cheese, sun-dried tomato and golden Italian dressing.
  • Potato Salad: All the traditional ingredients with a touch of sour cream and honey.
  • Fruit

Gluten-free options:

  • Gluten free bread available on above choices. Served with fruit.

Vegetarian option:

  • Pimento cheese or egg salad sandwich
  • Cheese boards also available for $15.99. Perfect for sharing with a friend

Orders for boxed lunches must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your visit and will be available at the tasting room.

You’ll find fan favorites on the menu from Chicken Salad to wine infused nibbles made to complement your favorite bottle. Enjoy scratch made breads, try the tangy pimento cheese, or have a traditional cheese tray to complement your day at Burntshirt!

    A selections of hand cut cheeses, salami, olives seasonal fruit and artisan crackers.

    A delicious blend of hand rolled cheeses and spices served with artisan crackers

Salad Gatherings

  • The Harvest
    Grilled chicken, mixed field greens with crisp apples, crumbled bleu cheese, red onion and toasted pecans. Served with an apple wine vinaigrette.

  • The Mediterranean
    A crisp bed of lettuce with grilled chicken, bell peppers, red onions and garden cucumbers. Topped with tangy feta cheese and ripe tomatoes. Accented with spicy pepperoncinis and earthy kalamata olives. Served with a creamy greek dressing infused with chardonnay.

    Burntshirt Merlot infused meatballs on a bamboo skewer.

    Hot corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, melted Swiss with a touch of Thousand Island dressing piled high on a grilled pumpernickel rye bread. Served with side of chips.
  • Meatball Sub
    Homemade Merlot meatballs smothered in our house red sauce and topped with melted provolone cheese. Served on a sub roll with a side of chips.
  • Maine Lobster Roll
    Chilled lobster with celery, onions & a touch of dill. Served on a traditional New England roll, served with a side of chips.
