O Cellars Reserve Chardonnay

The O Cellars Reserve Chardonnay is handcrafted in the Burgundian style of chardonnay. Choosing select french barrels from the forest of Allier and Troncais, this chardonnay is then barrel fermented. The yeast and nutrients (known as “lees”) are left in the barrel and stirred every other week to get the lees back in suspension. This creates a creamy mid palate texture. The Burgundian winemakers refer to this as the sur-lie method. The result is a mildly oaky and creamy chardonnay with hints of vanilla and coconut with soft apple and pear on the palate. Pair with shellfish, lightly seasoned poultry, white sauce pastas and mild to medium soft and hard cheeses.
