Andrew has spent a lot of time as a Bluegrass performer, and is widely hailed for his flatpicking skills. Brandi continues to carry the torch of keeping independent country music alive and well. Her sweet southern drawl combined with the musicality her lyrics carries a vibe that could have you two stepping or swooning.

The dynamic duo brings an uplifting twist to the high lonesome sound of Bluegrass and Country music. Set apart by Andrew’s high energy flat picking guitar and Brandi’s soul-stirring voice, these two are an absolute Appalachian treasure. Join us Friday, March 17 at Burntshirt Vineyards in Hendersonville for live music at the vineyard from Candler singer/songwriter John Friday! Originally from Maryland, John now lives in western North Carolina. John Friday, the Tropical Balladeer, is a Trop Rock singer and songwriter. He plays a wide variety of rock, folk, country, reggae, and island styles. He also performs from a full catalog of original music. Much more than just a cover artist, John takes audiences on a musical journey down to the little latitudes.

John’s goal is not to just simply sing songs. He aims to take his audience on a musical journey down to the tropics, where their troubles melt away on sandy beaches and warm ocean breezes. With songs in styles ranging from soulful ballads to “rock the house” dance tunes, and covers ranging from Jimmy Buffett and the Eagles to Kenny Chesney and CCR, John provides just the right mix for any audience. John will be performing at the Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room and Winery on Friday from 3-6 PM. Come on out for an evening of beach vibes and award-winning wines! Paul is the award winning songwriter and frontman of the Roots Rock Americana band the Jangling Sparrows, which he leads with guitar and vocals. The band was nearly born on the airplane from Columbus to Philly. The Jangling Sparrows now prefer to quietly let others play their hand. Paul has cultivated a passionate and loyal following with his provocative lyrics and moving performances. To date, Paul has shared bills with Scott Miller, Robert Earl Kean, James McMurtry, Neko Case, Big Sandy, Langhorne Slim, Patty Larkin, Drive-by Truckers, The Sadies, Slim Cessna, Bottle Rockets, and Grayson Capps, among many others.

Edgy and misty, tough and tender, from a holler to a whisper. Paul writes brilliant, unique, timeless, original Americana songs. He has a sound that calls to mind some of the best of the genre. Join us on Saturday, February 18 from 2-5 PM at Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room and Winery for live music at the vineyard with David Reynolds! David spent his early years of writing music living in Alaska, where he worked as a fisherman and carpenter. Often working long stretches in remote areas, he embraced the isolation and untamed wilderness as inspiration for songcraft. Outfitted with a notebook, acoustic guitar, and a powerful singing voice, he writes of wanderlust, adventure, human connection, and wonderment of the natural world.

Reynolds self-released his first collection of these songs, titled Partial to Blue. The simple acoustic-and-vocal recordings captured the songs in a raw form, almost as if hearing them around the campfire. He went on to record several more albums, notably the EP Evergreen, with the track In Full Uniform quickly receiving acclaim. David currently resides in Asheville, North Carolina and has several projects in production, including an upcoming full-length album. Come out to Burtshirt Vineyards in Hendersonville on Saturday from 2-5 PM and see David perform live! It’s sure to be an afternoon of great wine, fantastic food and amazing music. Billy Dalton grew up listening to and playing bluegrass music in the late ’70s and early ’80s. At that time, he could be found playing guitar with area Bluegrass bands. He was bitten by the songwriting bug after attending a concert by legendary Folk artist Nanci Griffith. Billy now performs with his wife and co-writer Lynn Dalton. Their music draws from the acoustic sounds of guitar, mandolin, harmonica and acoustic percussion. It is often described as Folk and Americana colliding with style.
