Music at the Vineyard – David Reynolds

Join us on Saturday, February 18 from 2-5 PM at Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room and Winery for live music at the vineyard with David Reynolds! David spent his early years of writing music living in Alaska, where he worked as a fisherman and carpenter. Often working long stretches in remote areas, he embraced the isolation and untamed wilderness as inspiration for songcraft. Outfitted with a notebook, acoustic guitar, and a powerful singing voice, he writes of wanderlust, adventure, human connection, and wonderment of the natural world.

Reynolds self-released his first collection of these songs, titled Partial to Blue. The simple acoustic-and-vocal recordings captured the songs in a raw form, almost as if hearing them around the campfire. He went on to record several more albums, notably the EP Evergreen, with the track In Full Uniform quickly receiving acclaim. David currently resides in Asheville, North Carolina and has several projects in production, including an upcoming full-length album. Come out to Burtshirt Vineyards in Hendersonville on Saturday from 2-5 PM and see David perform live! It’s sure to be an afternoon of great wine, fantastic food and amazing music. Mickey is a longtime musical artist and collaborator, having written for and played with a number of bands, including such outfits as Human Progress and Tallahassee’s Wanderfoot. Mickey is currently an active Asheville musician. He can be seen performing his unique brand of guitar-forward folk in venues across the region. Billy Dalton grew up listening to and playing bluegrass music in the late ’70s and early ’80s. At that time, he could be found playing guitar with area Bluegrass bands. He was bitten by the songwriting bug after attending a concert by legendary Folk artist Nanci Griffith. Billy now performs with his wife and co-writer Lynn Dalton. Their music draws from the acoustic sounds of guitar, mandolin, harmonica and acoustic percussion. It is often described as Folk and Americana colliding with style. Join us at Burntshirt Vineyards Hendersonville on Saturday from 2-5 PM for an afternoon of music, food and wine with The Daltons! We can’t wait to see you here!

Hailing from County Roscommon, Ireland, Jim plays throughout Virginia, Maryland and the Carolinas. A talented musician, he accompanies himself on guitar, harmonica, and sometimes bodhrán. His original songs are a blend of traditional Celtic influence and contemporary issues, often set in and inspired by the area he resides. Jim infuses his performances with the beauty and nostalgia of Ireland. His choice of music is deliberate and engaging, and there is sure to be something for every listener. Join us Sunday, 7/31 for live music at the vineyard from American blues, soul and rock-n-roll artists Roots and Dore! Asheville musicians Riyen Roots and Kenny Dore are keeping the blues alive one show at a time. Currently among the busiest performing acts in the Southeast, they are working hard and quickly building a name for themselves, opening for national acts and playing festivals nationally and internationally. Their 2016 album The Blues and Beyond features such special guest as “Steady Rolling” Bob Margolin of the Muddy Waters Band, multiple Grammy winner David Holt, and Tony Black, bass player for Marshall Tucker Band. It’s going to be a bluesy good time at the Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room and Winery Sunday from 2-5 PM. We can’t wait to see you there!

Join us Friday, 9/2 for live music on the patio from classic rock, blues and country guitarist Myron Hyman! As a solo singer and guitarist, Myron Hyman performs wherever there are people to hear him. He and his guitar are there playing a wide assortment of covers and original tunes.

“Music brings out the best in people,” Myron philosophizes. “They just leave their other thoughts behind and get lost into the music by dancing, singing, clapping or just closing their eyes and listening. I love playing and seeing the smiles of the people enjoying themselves; that fires me up. I love it when people come up to me young and old, and tell me how some of the songs I play brings them back to so many good memories.”

“I love to play both places big and small,” he said. “Every gig is a new adventure.”

Myron will be at the Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room and Bistro from 5-8 PM performing from his extensive set list of classics and original tunes.  We can’t wait to see you here!
