Music at the Vineyard – Eric Allen Barker

Join us Friday, September 22 at Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room and Winery for live music at the vineyard from Eric Allen Barker!

Eric Alan Barker puts his spin on classic rock favorites with his casual, sweeping style. Eric has performed at the Orange Peel, Sierra Nevada Brewing, Asheville Music Hall, Funkatorium, LAAFF Festival, Jack of the Wood, Pisgah Brewing, Isis Music Hall, and many other amazing locales. He is currently the keyboardist for psychedelic soul rock band, Bull the Barker. Some of his past projects include such acts as Fortune & Glory (featured on 98.1 the River), Satta Lions, the Weathered Road, and Satta Roots. In 2018, Eric was honored to make a special guest appearance with nationally touring act, the Mammoths.

Come on out to the Burntshirt Vineyard in Hendersonville Friday from 3-6 PM and catch a local talent play for a hometown crowd! It’s certain to be an afternoon of amazing music, fantastic wines, good food, and great times. We can’t wait to see you here!

James Schlender has played the fiddle from an early age. As a two-time National Fiddle Champion, James plays the 5-string fiddle in the Asheville-based bluegrass band Songs From the Road.  studied music performance at the University of Miami. He has shared the stage with Chick Corea, Bobby McFerrin, and George Benson.  In addition to being an impressive fiddler, he is also a master harmony singer.  You never know what James is going to play, but he’s for certain one of the top 10 bluegrass fiddle players in the world. The Moon and You is an Asheville-based folk/soul band from married multi-instrumentalists Melissa Hyman and Ryan Furstenberg. Melissa plays cello, Ryan plays guitar and banjo, and both sing in “voices that sound like they were made for one another” (Bill DeYoung, Connect Savannah). Together, the two form a sound that is warm, inviting, and playful.

This electric band is made up of singer/songwriter David Matters, violin/vocals Megan Drollinger, percussionist Charles Furtado and the newest member, flute/Irish whistler Connell Sanderson! Each member has brought a unique musical background which has contributed to the blending of styles that the band has become known for. 
With a focus on hypnotic rhythms, elegant vocal harmonies, and melodies that contain flavors of Africa, Ireland, and the Middle East, the music of this eclectic quartet is sure to uplift and inspire. Live Like Water will be performing an exhilarating set list at the Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room and Winery on Saturday from 4-7 PM. MUSIC AT THE VINEYARD – Ken Morgan

Join us Saturday, July 15 at the Burntshirt Vineyards Tasting Room and Winery for live music at the vineyard with Ken Morgan! Ken plays a wide range of covers from rock and pop to country, folk and even Americana. Ken started his music career at a young age singing in the Cherub Choir in church. He participated in band and chorus throughout junior high, high school and college. In addition, he’s been active in the Asheville/Hendersonville music scene since 2010, playing in bands such as A Social Function, Commodore Fox and The Caribbean Cowboys.

Ken is also half the duo of Ken and Nicole. This duo not only plays a wide variety of genres that they love creating new style mixes with but they also play a wide variety of instruments. From guitar to ukulele, keyboard to bass, and even the harmonica to the kazoo, Ken and Nicole can play it all!

With a love of music and playing in spaces where people can choose to engage or listen along, music with Ken is entertaining and electric! Come see Ken at Burntshirt Vineyards Hendersonville Saturday from 12-3 PM. We can’t wait to see you here!
